WAR READY

Ephesians 6:10-18 GNB Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Put on all the armour that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks.  For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. So put on God's armour now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground.  So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight round your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One.  And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Thy Will Be Done

At some point in your life you will reach a crossroad. One road will be what YOU want to do and the other will be what God wants you to do. You’re going to have to decide what’s best. Yes, you already know that God’s way will always be the best way even if you can see from where you are that His way may involve winding roads, dark lonely forests, and a few mountains to climb. And you already know that God’s way will always be the best way even if you can tell that your way is a straight and easy shot. But I’m here to tell you, those straight and easy shots aren’t really as easy as they may seem. Those straight and easy shots typically will cause the most pain believe it or not. Going the way you want to go will force you to deal with pain all by yourself. God won’t be as close to you to help you as He would be if you took His way. Because you’ve imposed your free will on His will and thus rendered Him powerless in your own pursuits. I hate to admit it, but your way will end
