What's Love Got to Do With It?

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:   If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.  Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?  Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. See, another King Solomon gem from the book of Ecclesiastes! I've heard verse 12 quoted a few times but I never knew it came from this book.  This scripture is usually read at weddings and I believe it's befitting.  Though, I absolutely love and admire romantic covenant relationships, I personally don't  like talking about them. Needless to say, today, I've been moved to go here for some reason.  Plus, I noticed an odd  influx of relationship posts and meme's floating around these parts too. Some of them good. Others...

there is a Season...

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;  a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;  a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;  a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;  a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;  a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes is probably a book in the Bible that many purposely flip past because it is full of some of the most cynical, pessimistic, ramblings easily snubbing the award for best pitiful candor if we were to compare the book to Job's conversations with his friends whi

Follow the Leader

Hebrews 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. I rarely watch TV, but when I do, I might catch a movie or check out something on the Crime I.D. Channel. Now that's my channel! I'll binge watch a detective show with no qualms! So this channel currently has a docu-series called Cults that explores the different types of cults America birthed throughout the years. Of course there were episodes which touched on Jim Jones and the People's Temple, Yahweh Ben Yahweh and the Nation of Yahweh, and Dwight York and The Nawaubian Nation of Moors.  The stories were absolutely appalling! I felt so terrible for all of the people who followed these leaders in hopes of being a part of something greater than themselves only to experience nothing but nightmares on top of nightmares. The ones who were fortunate enough to leave before these cults collasped, I could tell were emotionally and spir

Horses Vs. Unicorns

1 Peter 2:16 You are free, but still you are God's servants, and you must not use your freedom as an excuse for doing wrong.   Happy Wednesday to you my beautiful readers! We've officially reached the third quarter of this year! My God time is flying! I just want to take the time out really quick to thank you guys so much from the bottom of my merry heart for reading my posts and supporting my decision in January to resuscitate this page! I appreciate those who've stuck it out with me on up until right now. You guys rock!   Welp, let's get into some things. Shall we?  I've been carrying a burden in the form of trying to wrap my mind around the idea of free will. I attempted to investigate the scriptures, looking for this concept in the Bible to be somewhat disappointed. Disappointed in a good way though. Basically, I kept running into the goodness of God's salvation and the freedom that encompasses it.  I also discovered, that anytime an individu
