It's Above Me Now

Isaiah 50:4-6 The Master, God , has given me a well-taught tongue, So I know how to encourage tired people. He wakes me up in the morning, Wakes me up, opens my ears to listen as one ready to take orders. The Master, God , opened my ears, and I didn’t go back to sleep, didn’t pull the covers back over my head. I followed orders, stood there and took it while they beat me, held steady while they pulled out my beard, Didn’t dodge their insults, faced them as they spit in my face.  Hey GANG! I'm praying all is well in the land of the living. Today's the last day of June, guys. This is it for the year of 2019. Tomorrow and henceforth will be the rev up for 2020. We'll be heading into new land for real, for real.  I'm reminded of a quote I recently saw by a journalist named J.E. Lawrence (1949) who said,  " New land is harsh, and vigorous, and sturdy. It scorns evidence of weakness. There is nothing of sham or hypocrisy in it. It is what it is, without an apolo

Galatians 6:1  Brothers, if anyone is caught in any sin, you who are spiritual [that is, you who are responsive to the guidance of the Spirit] are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness [not with a sense of superiority or self-righteousness], keeping a watchful eye on yourself, so that you are not tempted as well. Oh happy day to you all!  I so appreciate your FAITHFULNESS ! Haha! You see what I did there? I used that word on purpose just to be able to remind those who didn't read my last post to click that word when you can to check it out!  I think I went full biblestudy mode in that post. It was necessary.   I'm very honest when I say this, I'm currently being tested greatly in my fruit of faithfulness. Where at one point watching others progress and excel in life didn't phase me pretty much at all, in this season it's starting to do so.  Just a wee bit. And where an older version of me would have self-righteously listed off everything t

Matthew 25:23 His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' Well hello there my friends! It's a great day to be alive. If I do say so myself. I pray that you all are really taking advantage of this time to become reacquainted with the fruit of the spirit. If you haven't yet, please catch the wave! I would like to consider myself as someone who's come up on the cheat codes for the type of tests that are inevitable for us believers.  Just so y'all know though, I get treated probably everyday because of and by this stuff. That's why I don't mind showing what I've gained so I can help people pass these tests. Yadig!  It's still been a heck of ride to say the least.   So this week we are going to parlay with the fruit of FAITHFULNESS. It's the seventh one in the bunch. And it's kind of sweet. It's s

Ephesians 2:8-10 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.  For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Psst, psst. Come in closer. I have to tell you guys something! I'm whispering because it's a secret.  *Clears throat*  I...AM...NO... GOOD !  Before God and aside from God, there's nothing good about me. I remember a few good years ago a guy that I was attempting to date told me, "You'd be good if you wasn't so deep into that God stuff." I was so confused when I heard this.  Mind you at that time, I wasn't even in too deep with this "God stuff."  I was probably in the kiddie pool with goggles and a duck floatie. Ha!  I was vexed because, I felt like the God stuff were my greatest
