Through The Grapevine

1 Timothy 5:13  Now at the same time, they also learn to be idle as they go from house to house; and not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies [meddlers in things that do not concern them], talking about things they should not mention . I have another confession to share with you guys.  I obtained the position of the Great Value Wendy Williams in my group of church homies when I first got saved.  Funny thing is, I was never really a gossiper before I got saved which is so weird to me.  Even when I transitioned from elementary to highshcool, I told myself these things, "Tanzy, keep your nose out of people's business, keep your mouth off of stuff you don't know, and don't talk to boys."  My parents didn't have to warn me about this type of stuff. Those were my personal strict rules of engagement because I figured that if I followed those simple three things, I could avoid unnecessary conflicts.  My observations beforehand pr...

Tell The Truth. Shame the Devil.

Proverbs 17:7 Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool— how much worse lying lips to a ruler! Can you tell me the last time you lied about something and was able to actually get away with it?  What did you really have to do to succeed in that?  I'm often led to a space of amazement, when I witness people lie convincingly and are able to live with it for an extended period of time.  Then I get mad.  Because, I've never been able to do the same.  I learned early on in my life that lying was not the move for me. I'm praying you're in a pleasant and receptive mood today. I also hope you took the time out to really read last week's post about honor . Especially if you decided to check out early because you weren't ready for the full dosage of my real talk. For those of you who digested the entire post though, (fist bump) did y'all get tested in honor yet or started seeing random manifestations and representations of it anywhere, like I have?  Yo, I kid you not, no matter where I've turned, I saw it; honor. It's almost like, now that I know more about what honor is, I can't un-know it. And the old saying goes,  "Once you know better, you do better."  So that's where I am at this very moment.  As a matter of fact, I am harassed ...
