I'd like to believe he was but a fragile mortal human being that allowed his pride to sit himself up too high for his heart to handle so he fell.  I believe one of the most dangerous things a believer can do is to become wise in his/her own eyes. To become obese in the head yet anorexic in the heart when it comes to the things of God.  There are a lot of people who know God very well, in their heads. Their expansive knowledge of Him gives them the confidence to point the biggest skeptic out and make them a believer (I stole that last part from a Drake lyric ha!) They have an impec

James 1:2-4  My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. So for almost a month I'd been experiencing back pains on and off.  Not quite sure what I did to initiate this pain but I would still force myself to go to the gym and workout around it when it wasn't hurting me as much. Probably not the best idea because Sunday night I literally could not sleep since my back was hurting so bad. If I turned my body a certain way while lying down, the pain would erupt like a burst of fire. I didn't even think I'd be able to get out of bed this Monday morning for work, that's how bad the pain was. My efforts to sit at my work desk without triggering the pain became a tiresome task so I gave up and just endured until the end. Ha!  Romans 15:1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves. This past Saturday, I volunteered most of my day partnering with my mom to help clean up the condo of a family friend (Let's call her Be-Be) who's getting ready to move in a few weeks. When we walked into the beautiful cozy home, I noticed that it wasn't really unkempt. I went straight to clean the bathroom because ironically I hate dirty bathrooms. But the bathroom was barely unclean. I went ahead though and cleaned what needed to be cleaned including the mirrors. floor, and toilet. A short time later, Be-Be  informed me that there was another bathroom in the bedroom. I went in there to find that it needed a little more TLC but still not that much more than the other bathroom.  As I scrubbed the floor, I overheard Be-Be talking to my mom who was cleaning the kitchen. Matter of fact, do you know how or why you should pray? As believers, prayer should not be considered an odd phenomenon or an act that consistently eludes us. Prayer is the quintessential function of a believer. But more often than not, many see and only use prayer like a fire extinguisher for when all hell breaks loose and leave it at that.  Not that this is necessarily a bad thing. Yet, how would you like it if you were in a relationship with someone and they only called you when they wanted something? Or called you after they created a disastrous mess of things and wanted to use you as their scapegoat?
