#Decisions & #Consequences

Psalm 119:105  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  After consecutive unsuccessful and dizzying attempts to chase after a life I thought I wanted, I was left shaking myself awake from a sort of suspended animation if you will. Suddenly, what I thought I wanted made me gag. Nothing more sobering than to be stuck on the wayside of all your decisions and studying their consequences.  Every decision we make has a consequence. This is why I had us question our motives  in the last post. It is because when your motives are defiled, you will make defiled decisions and have to pay a hefty price for them.  A lot of people right now are living in the consequences of their actions and blaming it on the devil.  When the devil's been on paid leave because they've practically done his work for him.  Some consequences can be reversed. Others, can't. You will just have to ensure going forward that you're not moving the same way you were when yo

#Motives

Proverbs 17:20  A bad motive can't achieve a good end; double-talk brings you double trouble.  One day, I'm going to learn how to play Chess. Even though I don't like playing board games because I hate losing, I've always been intrigued by Chess I guess because you have to exercise your brain for some serious critical thinking in order to win a game.   To satiate part of my curiosity,  I decided to research how to play .  I found out that some pieces are allowed to make certain moves while others are limited in the kind of moves and amount of moves they can make. The objective is to checkmate the king, or in other words put the king in a position to be captured and without an ability to make a move and escape. Here's a basic explanation of the movements per piece type: ♟️ King can move exactly one square horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. At most once in every game, each king is allowed to make a special move, known as castling. ♟️ Queen can

1 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Hey gang! It's a great day to be alive and well in the land of the living. First, I extend honor to those who celebrated Mother's Day this past Sunday. I intercede for those reading this and lost mothers and mothers who've lost babies. My heart goes to you.  Sincerely.  Well, I had such a bombtastic weekend as I spent some of it with women from all walks of life at my church's women's conference. We worshipped together. We praised together. We loved on each other, A LOT. We laughed together. We cried together. And we allowed ourselves to be poured into by various leaders of the church. It was such a beautiful experience. I enjoyed my time at this event. This is coming from somebody who was turned off by w

Psalm 94:19 “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” Howdy neighbors!   Were you able to take something away from my last week's post, #Lost ?  I pray so. Let's put this baby on cruise control for a moment.  I heard something in the spirit that provoked me to investigate another spectrum connected to the subject of being lost.  My investigation started with a question.  How do you know if you're lost because of God or lost because of the devil?   Took me back to a revelation I caught in 2015:  We often out of the dysfunctional abuse of tradition and religion like to quote 1 Corinthians 14:33, "God is not the author of confusion," whenever CONFUSION rears its head. But did you know that there is a scripture right before that in 1 Corinthians 1:27 that says, "God will take the foolish things to confound the wise?" Let's see what CONFOUND means, shall we? Confound- to baffle, to befog, to perplex,

John 13:7 “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.’” HAPPY MAY, BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!  I pray you're in a chipper mood as I am. Even though here in Chicago it's been raining cats and dogs, I won't complain a bit.  As the old folks would say, "April showers equals May flowers." If this is true, I'm happy because I'm a sucker for flowers. Plus, the spiritual implications of rain being followed by flourishing flowers is impossible for someone like me to overlook. I see it this way, if you've been experiencing heavy downpours in your life, fret not!  Trouble don't last always. You're bound to reap beauty for your ashes sooner or later. Especially if you've planted good seeds. I recommend you check out a  post I wrote last year about this. If of course you haven't already.  A few weeks ago, a beautiful soul reached out to me for a private consultatio
