Can You Repeat That? (God is That You?: Part II)

John 10:27-28
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

I felt the urgent need to hammer last week's post "God is That You?"down just a little more for concrete understanding. I heard your questions even though you didn't personally direct them to me. I heard your questions when I read that post as if I myself didn't write it. I read it as if I was a babe in Christ or a growing believer.

If you didn't read last week's post I encourage you to do so. I explored the basics of developing the type of relationship with God that involves you actively listening for His voice, while also developing a technique to help you put a muzzle on your desires which often distorts what God is ultimately saying. Your relationship with God should never be one sided. Meaning you should be pursuing conversations with God on a regular basis that includes Him responding to your inquiries and petitions. Below is a small list to help you differentiate God's voice, your (flesh) voice, and the devil's voice. Please click each word as I've attached scriptural evidence to confirm them.

    Your (Flesh) Voice
God's Voice
Satan's Voice
Corrupt, dishonest

John 10:3-5
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen for his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will flee from him because they do not recognize his voice

This list is in no way an exhaustive one. I just wanted to give you the gist of each voice. Do you see how similar your voice is to satan's? It's because he is not creative nor is he is a creator. Your voice is the devil's cohort. His voice carries no weight. Your voice is the devil's diver's board because your voice carries power since you were created in the image of God.  And your voice is heavily linked to your desires. Now if your desires aren't bridled or better yet re-calibrated by God in every season (Our desires tend to be molded by whatever season we're in), then they will leave your voice open for the enemy to disguise his voice as your own which then declares war against God's voice.

Did you catch that? The devil will also speak to you through other people, a majority of the time through the people you know. This is why it is so important that you eat God's word habitually which I would compare  it to what spinach was to Popeye the Sailorman. God's word not only ratifies our faith in Him, it gives His voice a megaphone which projects itself over other voices.

Hear this, there are good people in the world, don't get me wrong, but some of them do not believe in God and thus does not listen to or for God. And these people do not know that they are walking contradictions. Nothing about man is good! Jeremiah 17:9 says it this way, "The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?" You see you can not say you operate in some form of goodness without also acknowledging that this goodness came from someplace other than you! In other words, it came from God! #Sidebar, Flesh can also perpetrate good acts but it can not mimic holiness.

Anyway, the notion that you can be good without honoring God or yielding to the voice of God is FALSE, beloved. The days are getting really old for mere "good" people. Matter of fact, the times are not requiring more good people. The times are demanding GOD PEOPLE that can hear Him fluently and be able to decipher and interpret the multi lingual nature of His dialect. Then to carry the revelation out in whatever fashion uniquely encrypted within each willing vessel.

If you're reading this now. Like literally, if you're reading this line right now, then I am pleased to tell you that you are at the point of NO RETURN. You are being challenged to turn your senses up to receive the download from heaven which might I add will have a lot to do with your own personal journey in Christ. So this challenge is necessary. It's time to take God out of this make believe fantasy treasure chest and open yourself up to receive Him, for real!  Your spirit man has been waiting for this moment. Flesh just needs to be rejected. It's time! As I stated last week, God has a lot to say. And you need to believe that He has a lot to say to you! You are not exempt from His intimate announcements and acknowledgements.

Strawberry Crush

Have you ever developed a crush for someone? How did you feel? How did you respond to this feeling? Did you challenge it? Did you explore it? Did it ever go away?  I remember my first crush. I was in first grade when I met Calvin. He was the cutest light bright I'd ever seen. My teacher caught on and would actually allow us to sit together. We would enjoy our innocent times, him making me laugh and me sharing my snacks. I loved him before I even knew what love was. But Calvin was a bad boy. He got in trouble a lot. I would take up for him too. But one day I would not be able to see him again because he moved away and transferred to another school. My heart was torn in half as I would miss him for a while.  That was about 24 years ago. Since then I've had a few crushes. None of them really went anywhere but to a disappointing dead end. Which has provoked me to seek understanding of what does "having a crush," really mean. In all honesty, having a crush on so

DEATH TO BOAZ!

If I hear another woman of God say she’s waiting on her “Boaz”, I’m going to scream my lungs bloody and hit her upside the head with an offering basket! Real talk! You’ve read the title, so you probably already can guess that this post is not going to be the nicest cup of tea you’ve had to drink. But you have to drink it and YES THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS! I hate to break it to you dear, BOAZ is not coming! Boaz was for Ruth and Ruth only. Boaz was tied to Ruth’s assignment. He is not TIED TO YOURS! I am afraid that the church has cooked up this lovely fairytale that every woman has a BOAZ designated for her. WRONG! If you go into the word, Boaz wasn’t even all that aaaaanndd Naomi helped Ruth come up with a cute little scheme to get homie’s attention. RUTH 3:1-5 One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, I must find a home[a] for you, where you will be well provided for. 2 Now Boaz, with whose women you have worked, is a relative of ours. Tonight he wi

The Effectual Fervent Prayer

I am convinced that there is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. I believe I’ve touched on this before in an earlier post. But I’ve received some new revelations to add to my case. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. So does this mean that every prayer we send up, God says “Yes” to? Well, I must inform you, that it’s a little more complicated than that. Yet, it’s  not at all hard to understand. There is a three part transaction in this entire process. First we have OUR PRAYERS. Second, we have GOD’S PROMISES. Third, we have THE AMEN.” Yo, I’m so excited to explain this in full!  YOUR PRAYERS: The desires and issues of your heart are the language behind your prayers. Whatever interferences your heart experiences (that rhymes! Lol) determines the kind of prayer that you lift up to God. God will ALWAYS answer the prayer. Th
