Purge

Psalm 51:7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

So listen, I absolutely HATE being under the weather. I can't stand a stuffy nose from a cold, weeping itchy eyes from an allergic fit, or any symptom related to food poisoning. But it looks like those things of which I hate, I've wound up experiencing ALL of them so far this year including the latter.

Last week this little piggy got a hold to some bad butter (yes butter goes bad, Google it.) and my body responded a few hours later basically telling me, "Tanzy look here, I love you but I hate this butter. I have to get rid of it by any many necessary. Needless to say, I felt like DEATH for 48 hours. I'm well now. I'm off the sick and shut in list. I can eat food again! Bless the Lord, oh my soul!

I thought about something, as we sit by and watch before our eyes the world experience it's own bout of what I would laughably consider food poisoning, where everything that it seems to have done in the dark or better yet consumed, is now being regurgitated in the light. Isn't that something?
Let's not not be amused so much though.

We as individuals especially believers are about to undergo something similar. We are not exempt because it's necessary. This is definitely true for those who like to dip and dabble. You know, ingest a little bit of ungodliness from here and there drinking it down with pints of wordliness. For some of you, you may even deem what you're doing as harmless. I hate to be the bearer of bad news...

1 Corinthians 10:23
I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"--but not everything is constructive.

Listen, we're not going to be able to avoid the world. Well why of course not! We can be very successful though in dodging it's influences, enticements, suggestions, and advancements. We don't have to accept this stuff just because! If your desire is to partake in things that will make you more appealing to the people around you and in an effort to avoid rejection, things that upset your spirit-man, I tell you, the effects of these things are not going to stay down for long. It's about to come up.

Your spirit is about to purge you into repentance. Or would you rather be caught in God's mouth when He spews out the lukewarm? Because that part is indeed inevitable.

What will this purge look like you ask? Just look at what's happening in the world.  I would like to believe that the heart of our spirits can't possibly continue to be subjected to our negligence and abuse so in the same way the world is reacting to its consumption of stuff not good, moreover, not of God, is how our spirits will promptly hurl our junk out in the open. Some reactions may be gradual. Others not so much. However, in a little while the difference in these reaction times are going to shrink.

This post is like a physician's prognosis. It's for the slow dancers in burning rooms who arrogantly believe that because they're not directly hurting anyone that they are not actually hurting themselves. I've seen men and women brought to their knees by the violent heaves of their spirit. Their spirits would no longer accept their vile behavior. These same men and women went on to blame the enemy. Nope. I beg to differ. It was just a purge.

There's only so how much a prophet can warn a people before his/her silence is instigated. There are no more warnings. This purge is imminent. It's going to be painful. The belly of your life will cramp as your spirit will release the effects of the bitterness, rebellion, dishonor, blasphemy, deceit, unforgiveness, lust, hate, jealousy, and competition.
A migraine will pulsate the forehead of your carefully manipulated set up as your spirit spits up the wrath, witchcraft, thievery, idolatry, gluttony, sexual immorality, and backbiting. Is it starting to make sense to you now?

Malachi 3:3
He will take his seat, testing and cleaning the sons of Levi, burning away the evil from them as from gold and silver; so that they may make offerings to the Lord in righteousness.

Ginger root is a really good remedy for nausea and vomiting. Worshiping in the spirit can act as ginger root for this purge of your spirit. It can deescalate the situation considerably. I suggest you posture yourself to submit in worship, immediately.  And continuously hereafter.

Strawberry Crush

Have you ever developed a crush for someone? How did you feel? How did you respond to this feeling? Did you challenge it? Did you explore it? Did it ever go away?  I remember my first crush. I was in first grade when I met Calvin. He was the cutest light bright I'd ever seen. My teacher caught on and would actually allow us to sit together. We would enjoy our innocent times, him making me laugh and me sharing my snacks. I loved him before I even knew what love was. But Calvin was a bad boy. He got in trouble a lot. I would take up for him too. But one day I would not be able to see him again because he moved away and transferred to another school. My heart was torn in half as I would miss him for a while.  That was about 24 years ago. Since then I've had a few crushes. None of them really went anywhere but to a disappointing dead end. Which has provoked me to seek understanding of what does "having a crush," really mean. In all honesty, having a crush on so...

DEATH TO BOAZ!

If I hear another woman of God say she’s waiting on her “Boaz”, I’m going to scream my lungs bloody and hit her upside the head with an offering basket! Real talk! You’ve read the title, so you probably already can guess that this post is not going to be the nicest cup of tea you’ve had to drink. But you have to drink it and YES THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS! I hate to break it to you dear, BOAZ is not coming! Boaz was for Ruth and Ruth only. Boaz was tied to Ruth’s assignment. He is not TIED TO YOURS! I am afraid that the church has cooked up this lovely fairytale that every woman has a BOAZ designated for her. WRONG! If you go into the word, Boaz wasn’t even all that aaaaanndd Naomi helped Ruth come up with a cute little scheme to get homie’s attention. RUTH 3:1-5 One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, I must find a home[a] for you, where you will be well provided for. 2 Now Boaz, with whose women you have worked, is a relative of ours. Tonight he wi...

The Effectual Fervent Prayer

I am convinced that there is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. I believe I’ve touched on this before in an earlier post. But I’ve received some new revelations to add to my case. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. So does this mean that every prayer we send up, God says “Yes” to? Well, I must inform you, that it’s a little more complicated than that. Yet, it’s  not at all hard to understand. There is a three part transaction in this entire process. First we have OUR PRAYERS. Second, we have GOD’S PROMISES. Third, we have THE AMEN.” Yo, I’m so excited to explain this in full!  YOUR PRAYERS: The desires and issues of your heart are the language behind your prayers. Whatever interferences your heart experiences (that rhymes! Lol) determines the kind of prayer that you lift up to God. God will ALWAYS answer the prayer. Th...
