Sleeping Beauty

Genesis 2:21
So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

"According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%." -USGS Water Science School

Of all the miraculous episodes in this grand saga called the Bible, the creation of man and woman and their subsequent introduction to one another, has to be one of the most amazing accounts to me because it was the first recorded marriage among other things.

First, God took the dusts of the earth and created man. I personally would not just associate this dust with that of what you would find resting on a window seal or bookshelf. I would surmise that God must have considered this dust to be very special in order to mold it in such a way to create something in the image of Himself; Man. I mean why not? He invested His breath into this being. This dust had to be invaluable yet unordinary material.

Genesis 2:6 says, that there wasn't any kind of greenery in the field because God had not sent rain and there was no one to tend to it but streams of water rose up and watered the whole ground. It didn't say He called the streams of water to do this either. I believe, God literally took the small precious earthly ornaments of dust combined them with those streams of water, the essence of Himself, (of which could easily have turned into mud) then sculpted this unique creature.

There are so many instances in the Bible, where God's nature is compared to, linked with, likened to, water. Let's also include the fact that just a few days prior to the creation of man, God created great sea creatures and living things that moves, with which the waters teemed according to their kind. Evidence that God had previously found success in using His own nature to create living beings.
Now, would you for me, refer back to the research I shared above and ponder on this for a moment...

Swell right?

Then after making four more bodies of water, The Pishon River, Gihon River, Tigris River, and Euphrates River, and all kinds of livestock that Adam named, God placed this man into a deep sleep, taking an expensive piece of him, a rib to create a helper more suitable for him.

Genesis 2 does not state how long this sleeping beauty was actually asleep. I also noticed that the days were no longer recorded after God rested on the seventh day and there was no specification as to how long it took for him to create Woman. Reading this account it may appear that things happened rapidly or in a short time-frame. I don't think so. Aside from the intricate anatomy of the human being, according to 2 Peter 3:8, it says with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. Meaning, Adam may not have taken a cat nap and very well could have been sleep for quite a while. #Shooketh

Stay with me, beloved. I'm still low-key in the same relationship vein (begrudgingly lol) from my last post, if you were wondering. But this post is going to be a little different from the last.
Please read carefully.

Alright, when God took the rib out of the man, the Bible says that He covered that opening with flesh. Ah! John 1:11,14 says, in the beginning was the word, and the word was God, and the word was with God...and the word became flesh.

Here we have it again, God investing more of Himself into Man. He covered the man's vulnerability of which this hole would have caused, WITH THE WORD! Here's why the Bible mandates that man as a husband is to be the head of the household because, he's been wrapped in the word. And here's why the Bible stipulates that the woman as a wife submit to the man as she would submit to God because the Bible does not suggest she was created from the dusts of the earth. It's possible the rib God pulled from Adam was the only raw material God used and thus He covered the rest with flesh; THE WORD!

The two separate makeups between man and woman would require complete submission in Man to God because he's been bandaged by a certain percentage of the word and Woman to Man as she does to God, because she's been crafted by a greater percentage of the word. The woman as a wife is responsible in her submission to continuously cover the man's vulnerabilities due to her makeup. The man as a husband has an even greater charge because he's automatically responsible to not only lead the woman as head of the household but to protect the woman as the weaker vessel since she's covered by less raw material as he.  The husband and wife need each other to be in position at all times because if either is out of position they become spiritually biodegradable. #Yikes

Right now the average household is out of wack, because people are shacking up and creating illegal unions or these marriages are made up of two people who don't understand their position because of either (or both) party's lack or weak submission to God. Everything always stems back to GOD! He created marriage! I hate to tell you though not for cosmetic reasons.

God said that He would make for Adam a helper suitable for him. A helper to help what? Just go back to Genesis where it specifically shares that God created everything under the heavens including the Garden of Eden and there was no one prior to Adam to take care of this stuff. Then once formed, Adam was by himself tending to the land for who knows how long and he needed help. VOILA! Here's Woman, whom Adam eventually named Eve.

Marriage, was created by God to further His reach in advancing His kingdom. Marriage, was created to lengthen and widen the arms-span of God for the sole purpose of tending to His kingdom. This was His command to Man and Woman to be fruitful and to multiply in Genesis, that might I add, has less to do with birthing a whole bunch of crumb snatchers!

       Proverbs 18:22
He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the A.

Well would you look at that? This scripture is another cosigner to my case. Since we've established that the woman was potentially dressed in a higher degree of God's word, in tandem with Proverbs 18:22, we can therefore justify why when a man finds a wife, he finds not just a good thing but also receives favor from God. Did anybody get as excited about this as I did?

The favor of God is imminent when the man links with the woman and makes her his wife. For clarity purposes, favor is not to be confused with blessings. Blessings come by way of just us simply being children of God. Us being able to open our eyes and breathe are blessings. Favor on the other hand comes as a result of obedience and submission. The average rebellious unsubmitted man has no access to it. When God gives favor to man, He's trying to increase his level of mobility by making more opportunities available to him in order to advance His kingdom. What better way to bequeath this to Man by introducing him to His favor. Woman is walking favor because she's adorned by precious and sensitive components of the word of God that I have to tell you, can't be found anywhere else!

I'll end here, God gave me a prophetic word last Thursday during a vocal rehearsal. There was so much prophetic activity going on that night in this intimate setting, it was bananas!

Well, He shared with me that He has awakened His Adams from their deep sleep and He will be introducing His Eves to them. There will be many marriages happening suddenly bursting up like the springs in Genesis. They will all be for the purpose of advancing His kingdom and He will call them, good. They will join with the other covenants previously ordained by Him to do the work set aside for them.

He said,"When you see these covenants happening in My name, take this as a signet ring that I am coming for My Bride, The Church. I have not forgotten Her, My divine sleeping beauty."

Strawberry Crush

Have you ever developed a crush for someone? How did you feel? How did you respond to this feeling? Did you challenge it? Did you explore it? Did it ever go away?  I remember my first crush. I was in first grade when I met Calvin. He was the cutest light bright I'd ever seen. My teacher caught on and would actually allow us to sit together. We would enjoy our innocent times, him making me laugh and me sharing my snacks. I loved him before I even knew what love was. But Calvin was a bad boy. He got in trouble a lot. I would take up for him too. But one day I would not be able to see him again because he moved away and transferred to another school. My heart was torn in half as I would miss him for a while.  That was about 24 years ago. Since then I've had a few crushes. None of them really went anywhere but to a disappointing dead end. Which has provoked me to seek understanding of what does "having a crush," really mean. In all honesty, having a crush on so

DEATH TO BOAZ!

If I hear another woman of God say she’s waiting on her “Boaz”, I’m going to scream my lungs bloody and hit her upside the head with an offering basket! Real talk! You’ve read the title, so you probably already can guess that this post is not going to be the nicest cup of tea you’ve had to drink. But you have to drink it and YES THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS! I hate to break it to you dear, BOAZ is not coming! Boaz was for Ruth and Ruth only. Boaz was tied to Ruth’s assignment. He is not TIED TO YOURS! I am afraid that the church has cooked up this lovely fairytale that every woman has a BOAZ designated for her. WRONG! If you go into the word, Boaz wasn’t even all that aaaaanndd Naomi helped Ruth come up with a cute little scheme to get homie’s attention. RUTH 3:1-5 One day Ruth’s mother-in-law Naomi said to her, “My daughter, I must find a home[a] for you, where you will be well provided for. 2 Now Boaz, with whose women you have worked, is a relative of ours. Tonight he wi

The Effectual Fervent Prayer

I am convinced that there is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. I believe I’ve touched on this before in an earlier post. But I’ve received some new revelations to add to my case. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. So does this mean that every prayer we send up, God says “Yes” to? Well, I must inform you, that it’s a little more complicated than that. Yet, it’s  not at all hard to understand. There is a three part transaction in this entire process. First we have OUR PRAYERS. Second, we have GOD’S PROMISES. Third, we have THE AMEN.” Yo, I’m so excited to explain this in full!  YOUR PRAYERS: The desires and issues of your heart are the language behind your prayers. Whatever interferences your heart experiences (that rhymes! Lol) determines the kind of prayer that you lift up to God. God will ALWAYS answer the prayer. Th
