100 Proof

When I was 5 or 6 I must have said something really foul out of my mouth and my mother beat the stuffing out of me. That was the FIRST and ONLY whooping I ever received. Lets just say I learned my lesson. I didn't like being whooped. Not because of the pain associated with the whooping. Moreso, my siblings and cousins were in the next room. I was EMBARRASSED!  Even though I would like to avoid being embarrassed, I still get my share of whoopings, by God! So you may be thinking, "God whoops you?" He sure does and He's WHOOPED you too. Don't play!  You see before Jesus was crucified His disciples were feeling a little antsy because they would be without Him. But He let them know that the Holy Spirit would be their new guide. An inner leader and compass.  John 14:26 GNB "The Helper,...

The Curse of the 10% (Part II)

Alright now, where did we leave off? Yes, would a man rob God or would he not rob God? That is the question. The priests were engaging in thievery as recorded in the book of Malachi and God cursed them and their baldheaded kids. (Dang, He did that!)  I made a very bold statement in part I of this post, "THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE TITHE!"  I made that post to get your attention. There is NO REASON for the tithe because JESUS became the tithe. You see tithing was a law as I showed in Hebrews 7 but also recall in Malachi 3, I stated that God told the priests that a messenger would come and wipe the priests clean.  Malachi 3:1-4 “Look! I’m sending my messenger on ahead to clear the way for me. Suddenly, out of the blue, the Leader you’ve been looking for will enter his Temple—yes, the Messenger of the Covenant, the one you’ve been waiting for. Look! He’s on his way!” A Message from the mouth of God -of-the-Angel-Armies. But who will be able to s...

The Curse of the 10%

Wasn't raised in the church but I do emember briefly going to one when I was about eight or nine years old. My mom and dad gave my school teacher permission to pick up my brother, sister, and I in a church van to take us to Sunday school and regular church service. I hated church, but I loved to sing in the youth choir. Another thing I remember was during a break in the service we had to walk down the aisle and put money in the basket. We were told it was offering. My mom would usually give us a dollar each to put in offering. Some Sundays she gave us nothing because she had nothing and I used to feel extremely humiliated walking down that aisle with NOTHING.  Welp, we stopped going to that church for other reasons, I may share in a latter post. Anyway, it was not until 14 or 15 years later that I decided to go back to church and that is when I was introduced to the TITHE. Foreign to me of course, I continued to give what I'd made up in my mind to give. And no it was...

WAR READY

Ephesians 6:10-18 GNB Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Put on all the armour that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks.  For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. So put on God's armour now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemy's attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground.  So stand ready, with truth as a belt tight round your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One.  And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this ...

Thy Will Be Done

At some point in your life you will reach a crossroad. One road will be what YOU want to do and the other will be what God wants you to do. You’re going to have to decide what’s best. Yes, you already know that God’s way will always be the best way even if you can see from where you are that His way may involve winding roads, dark lonely forests, and a few mountains to climb. And you already know that God’s way will always be the best way even if you can tell that your way is a straight and easy shot. But I’m here to tell you, those straight and easy shots aren’t really as easy as they may seem. Those straight and easy shots typically will cause the most pain believe it or not. Going the way you want to go will force you to deal with pain all by yourself. God won’t be as close to you to help you as He would be if you took His way. Because you’ve imposed your free will on His will and thus rendered Him powerless in your own pursuits. I hate to admit it, but your way will end ...

Pregnant with Possibilities

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night with a burning in my spirit. The burning then turns into kicks. The kicks turn into ideas. And the ideas turn into desires and passions. Did you know that whatever you’re passionate about leads you straight into your purpose? Did you know that your purpose is actually the will of God?     A sure fire sign that you are PREGNANT WITH POSSIBILITIES is having a feeling that you should be doing something other than what you’re doing now. You may be restless. Your attention span may be a little off and your regular appetite for the mundane and routine suddenly makes you queasy and uneasy. In this vast expanse called Earth everybody has something to do! Something to do that is much bigger than who we are, something that will make a difference. We are all PREGNANT WITH POSSIBILIITiES, to do something explosively grand with God’s help of course! You are PREGNANT WITH POSSIBILITIES! Don’t believe me? ...

The Curse of Eve

The first woman on this Earth had it all, a banging body I bet, a banging kingdom, and a banging husband, but she put it all on the line for a popped piece of fruit the baldheaded serpent told her she could have. I could easily blame her for the menstrual cramps I’m suffering from RIGHT NOW. The labor pains that I will have to endure later on down the road IF I decide to have kids. I could blame my struggles with men on that woman, EVE. But I won’t, because who hasn’t blamed her already? Her faults are no longer her faults, they’re now our faults ladies, so we just have to shut up and DEAL with it. Sorry. All those faults are surface faults anyway. But there’s some very SERIOUS underlying effects of the CURSE OF EVE. These effects aren’t readily noticed but surprisingly enough, there are people making money off of them! Once I became aware of it, I was appalled! In the Garden of Eden, if you can recall, Eve's lovely self was approached by a serpent who made her ...
