100 Proof

When I was 5 or 6 I must have said something really foul out of my mouth and my mother beat the stuffing out of me. That was the FIRST and ONLY whooping I ever received. Lets just say I learned my lesson. I didn't like being whooped. Not because of the pain associated with the whooping. Moreso, my siblings and cousins were in the next room. I was EMBARRASSED!

Even though I would like to avoid being embarrassed, I still get my share of whoopings, by God! So you may be thinking, "God whoops you?" He sure does and He's WHOOPED you too. Don't play!

You see before Jesus was crucified His disciples were feeling a little antsy because they would be without Him. But He let them know that the Holy Spirit would be their new guide. An inner leader and compass.

John 14:26 GNB

"The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you."

Whenever a revelation hits you or a message from God comes from some source you either rejoice, cry, or you feel uncomfortable.

Your spirit rejoices when you receive a revelation that you're coming out or that you've made it. Your spirit cries when it's reminded you almost didn't make it or you almost gave up. And your spirit is uncomfortable when you're reminded of your actions that put you where you are now or those actions are stopping you from getting to where you need to be.

That last one, that uncomfortable feeling in urban form is considered to be the phrase TREATED. In spirit form it's considered CONVICTION. This is the main reason why a lot of Christians choose not to read the Bible for fear of reading something that will convict them.

For fear of being reminded that what their doing is wrong! And that my friends is what being whopped by God is.  Nothing takes away the power and anointing of a Christian quicker than running away from conviction.

The Bible is not some magazine that you pick up while you're waiting in the doctors office at 9.am or something to pass the time while sitting on the toilet. t's a BOOK that was written to TEACH, TRAIN, AND TRANSFORM!

I was disgusted one evening reading the comments on a post about the duties of a wife, and the people were arguing about the WORD. Understand this people, there's no time to be arguing back and forward about interpretation. It's time to start soaking in what your own spirit takes from the WORD. My interpretation of a certain scripture will be completely different from the next person. Doesn't mean you're wrong and it doesn't mean I'm right. It means that the scripture is speaking to a certain spiritual jurisdiction in each individual.

At the end of the day the word will be 100 proof with or without your arguments and personal interpretations. If you learned something, if you feel the need to change, if you feel led to take on life at another level, then the WORD has served it's purpose. The WORD shouldn't make you feel like a prisoner! It should make you feel free!

I find that there are too many Christians looking for the pastor to say something to make them feel good. Too many Christians looking for the choir to sing 80 songs, the praise dancers to stand on their hands, musicians to play drawn out gospels JUST so they can feel good about their walk with Jesus. When all this time God left The WORD behind to do just that. The Word is 100 Proof because in the beginning was the word and the word was God and the word was with God! (Genesis 1:1) You water it down with your elementary interpretations and ancient recycled opinions to avoid conviction. Stop that foolery! And read the Word for yourself and accept it for what it is!

The Effectual Fervent Prayer

I am convinced that there is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. I believe I’ve touched on this before in an earlier post. But I’ve received some new revelations to add to my case. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. So does this mean that every prayer we send up, God says “Yes” to? Well, I must inform you, that it’s a little more complicated than that. Yet, it’s  not at all hard to understand. There is a three part transaction in this entire process. First we have OUR PRAYERS. Second, we have GOD’S PROMISES. Third, we have THE AMEN.” Yo, I’m so excited to explain this in full!  YOUR PRAYERS: The desires and issues of your heart are the language behind your prayers. Whatever interferences your heart experiences (that rhymes! Lol) determines the kind of prayer that you lift up to God. God will ALWAYS answer the prayer. Th...

Waiting for Superman

Songs of Solomon 2:8  "Listen! My beloved!  Look! Here he comes,  leaping across the mountains,  bounding over the hills." Well hello there! It's Misses Kill Your Vibes ALL 2019!!  And look a-here, tomorrow is Valentines Day. One of the most overrated, hyper worshipped, super advertised pagan holidays behind Christmas!  I HATE IT. You don't even get that day off for work. Yet people get worked up off an imaginary naked angel baby shooting heart arrows at other loose people.  I do not have time for that kind of violence.  I never do. I never did. Somehow I stumbled upon a section on my Facebook page that I thought no longer existed! So in 2009, as blogging begin to gain traction, Facebook would allow you a space to write notes. I would take advantage of it of course way before I started this page. It was pretty cool reading the stuff I wrote until I stumbled upon a host of love poems to some fantasy man god I'd molded fro...

Got Talent?

Matthew 25:23 His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' Well hello there my friends! It's a great day to be alive. If I do say so myself. I pray that you all are really taking advantage of this time to become reacquainted with the fruit of the spirit. If you haven't yet, please catch the wave! I would like to consider myself as someone who's come up on the cheat codes for the type of tests that are inevitable for us believers.  Just so y'all know though, I get treated probably everyday because of and by this stuff. That's why I don't mind showing what I've gained so I can help people pass these tests. Yadig!  It's still been a heck of ride to say the least.   So this week we are going to parlay with the fruit of FAITHFULNESS. It's the seventh one in the bunch. And it's kind of sweet. It's s...
